Donald Trump previously sparked rumors that he and Melania Trump are on the brink of a divorce.
While at a fundraising event for top Republicans, the POTUS reportedly joked about the state of his marriage to his third wife. Louisiana Republican Steve Scalise got shot last year, and Trump said that Scalise’s wife cried so hard when he saw her at the hospital.
“I mean not many wives would react that way to tragedy, I know mine wouldn’t,” he shockingly said.
According to The Guardian, those who heard the remark didn’t think of it as a joke. In fact, they interpreted the comment in a number of ways.
It is possible that Trump thinks Melania hates him so much that she wouldn’t even cry at his funeral or if he gets shot. Or, it is also possible for the FLOTUS to no longer have any tears left to cry after being married to Trump for over a decade.
Shortly after Trump made the shocking comment, rumors swirled that it’s only a matter of time before the couple’s divorce will be announced. However, Omarosa Manigault said that a divorce will only take place once the POTUS is no longer in the White House.
Meanwhile, Trump has also made some bizarre and disrespectful comments about his ex-wives, Ivana Trump and Marla Maples. In the book “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump,” Ivana accused her ex-husband of “rape.”
The allegations came in the heels of the couple’s divorce, and Ivana used it to describe an incident between them in 1989. The POTUS was reportedly upset over the results of his visit to the plastic surgeon, which was recommended to him by Ivana.
After pushing his ex-wife and pulling fistfuls of her hair, Trump reportedly forced himself into Ivana. The mom of three was left feeling terrified.
On another occasion, Trump made offensive comments about his second ex-wife, Marla, who he shares one daughter with. When the POTUS found out about Marla’s pregnancy, he seemingly suggested for her to get an abortion.
