NEW YORK, May 15, 2017 -- Dr. Gary Tracy Optometry & Eyewear has announced their upcoming trunk show sale. The sale takes place on Saturday, June 3, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the optical boutique’s Upper West Side location. It is being held to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the center's private frame line, which was developed in partnership with Sho Eyeworks.
Trunk shows are highlights of the fashion world and are often used to inaugurate new lines or increase awareness of existing ones. They offer customers a great chance to get fashion-forward items at reduced prices. Dr. Gary Tracy Optometry & Eyewear is highlighting two primary eyewear lines with its show: their Gold Label and Platinum Label offerings.
"The Gold Label line features frames made either of acetate from Germany or titanium from Japan, while the Platinum Label frames are all made of Japanese titanium. These glasses are hand-made in Japan by expert artisans who take pride in their work. There is no corner-cutting or factory production involved, and in fact, there is a one-year warranty on these frames. This is what makes our lines stand above even the big designer brands," said Dr. Gary Tracy, O.D., owner of Dr. Gary Tracy Optometry & Eyewear.
The company behind these private lines is Sho Eyewear, a Japanese design house that makes glasses both under its own name and for private eyewear lines offered by upscale optometrists. Its name is taken from the word "shokunin." The shokunin are Japanese artisans who are not only meticulous about their work, but who also believe in helping their communities.
Sho Eyewear has created several frames in classic styles and fun colors for Dr. Gary Tracy Optometry & Eyewear. Since these glasses are for private lines, they are available in sizes that are often unavailable from mass-produced brands.
Those who wish to attend the trunk sale should be sure to mark their calendars for Saturday, June 3.
