“Dr. Stone” season 2 is on the way, and fans should not confuse it as the 25th episodes of the first season. Now that it is clear that season 1 has concluded already, it was confirmed that the next chapter would offer the newest story arc that will continue the story of Senku and his quest to save the civilization by unlocking the secrets of the petrification.
Brief recap
Previously, in “Dr. Stone” season 1 episode 24, the villagers have been rejoicing after they finally produced the cellphone that they would need to defeat their enemy, which is Tsukasa. Senku needs to make two units, so he works on it with the help of everyone.
As he is building the mobile communication device, Senku, and the villagers were surprised to have come across an item that the Science genius described as a record that can be played on a phonograph. They accidentally found this record, and it was even more surprising when they heard the voice of the Ishigami village’s founder, who also turned out to be Senku’s father, Byakuya Ishigami.
Everyone learned that astronauts who survived the petrification came back to Earth, and Byakuya already predicted that his son Senku would find the village where he gathered all the Science materials that he would need to revive the civilization and eventually save it from total destruction.
What to expect in season 2
Toho Animation already released the first teaser for “Dr. Stone” season 2, and it was revealed that it will feature the “Stone Wars” arc. Battles could begin here since Senku, and the villagers have everything they need to fight their enemies. With their tools, they are likely to win, but they there could still be new villains out there plus, they have yet to search for the truth regarding the petrification.
Luckily, it was revealed that “Dr. Stone” season 2 will feature Senku’s two friends Taiju and Yuzuriha. Apparently, they will be revived from the petrification, and together, the three of them will work to figure out how the people could return to normal.
Finally, “Dr. Stone” season 2 has no exact release date yet, but Game Revolution suggested it may be back some time in July. Fans should wait for the official announcement to be sure.
