The “Dragon Ball FighterZ's” open beta test is coming to the Nintendo Switch in August. Namco Bandai tweeted the announcement that teases two-versus-two and one-on-one matchmaking.
We're also glad to announce that the Nintendo Switch Open Beta test for Dragon Ball FighterZ is scheduled to start in August. The game will be released on September 28th with new local multiplayer features:

The open beta test will also open up a new exciting game mode, an offline six-player Party Match. Multiplayer functionality for the open beta will be limited to local games, with online multiplayer to be rolled out in the future.
“Dragon Ball FighterZ's” Switch version of the game was announced and demoed at the E3. The game was not promoted during E3 2018 as aggressively as E3 2017's announcement, but “Dragon Ball FighterZ” on the Switch still has the consistency of the experience even when transposed to the mobile platform.
The Switch version of the game includes a simplified control scheme, taking into account the button accessibility available to Nintendo Switch users. Beyond the simplified control scheme and the limitations on multiplayer options during the open beta, “Dragon Ball FighterZ” looks to be a very close experience in terms of competition and graphics fidelity for any fan who has already played the console and PC versions of the game.
Namco Bandai's 2.5-dimensional fighting game based on the “Dragon Ball” universe was positively received on the PlayStation 4, the XBox One, and PC when it was released last January. The game has acquired a dedicated following of competitive gamers citing its tight controls and variety of fighter options, which looks to be as complete when it is released on the Nintendo Switch.
The game has made such a positive impact that EVO 2018 will be featuring a full day of streaming for “Dragon Ball FighterZ” compared to the other fighting games that will be streamed at the world's largest fighting game event.
“Dragon Ball Fighterz” will be released on the Nintendo Switch for fans of mobile fighting games worldwide on Sept. 28.
