“Dragon Ball Super's” manga adaptation upped the stakes between Goku and Jiren's battle when Jiren finally revealed why he wanted to attain the Dragon Balls for himself. On the other side of the battle, Goku gets a friend watching his back for the battle's finale in “Dragon Ball Super” chapter 41.
OtakuKart's recent summary of the chapter prior to “Dragon Ball Super” chapter 41 revealed that Jiren was in search of the Dragon Balls to wish for his master to see him at his current strength. Jiren only wishes for his master to acknowledge the power he has been able to attain ever since his master's death.
Unfortunately for Jiren, Vermoud reveals why his master never acknowledged him even until his death. Vermoud points out that Jiren was told by his master to join the Pride Troopers to teach him the importance of teamwork, which Jiren has not yet learned. In the final pages of the chapter leading to “Dragon Ball Super” chapter 41, both Vegeta and Goku teamed up to fight Jiren.
It looks like “Dragon Ball Super” chapter 41 will be a quick battle between the trio, considering that Goku and Vegeta are teamed up while Jiren may potentially decide to fight solo. But Jiren's decision to fight solo may also be involuntary this time as he might not find anyone in the audience to call as a teammate, unlike Goku and Vegeta.
Jiren is not necessarily a bad guy considering that the wish he hopes to bring to the Dragon Balls is harmless, albeit selfish. While Goku was having a hard time fighting Jiren in the previous chapters, their power levels were not that far from each other. Fans can expect him to fold in the battle against Vegeta and Goku quite easily in “Dragon Ball Super” chapter 41.
Fans looking forward to the final conclusion of the battle between Jiren and Goku can catch “Dragon Ball Super” when it gets released next month. Hopefully, Goku and Vegeta can teach Jiren a thing or two about teamwork.
