NEW YORK, Jan. 18, 2017 -- Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, announces the filing of a class action lawsuit on behalf of purchasers of Rent-A-Center, Inc. securities (NASDAQ:RCII) from July 27, 2015 through October 10, 2016, inclusive (the “Class Period”). According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period Defendants issued materially false and misleading statements to investors and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Rent-A-Center could not properly implement its new point of sale system (“POS”); (2) the POS was performing extremely poorly, including several complete outages; (3) as a result, Rent-A-Center’s Acceptance Now credit system could not be implemented properly; (4) Rent-A-Center could not meet revenue and profitability guidance provided to investors; (5) as such, Rent-A-Center would need to revise its prior guidance; and (6) as a result, Defendants’ statements about Rent-A-Center’s business, operations, and prospects, were false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.
