With there being such a huge level of secrecy directed at “Elder Scrolls 6,” details about the upcoming sixth installment to the storied franchise have been scarce. However, there have been some small scraps of information released about the game over the years, which provide a picture of what fans can expect. To start with, the game could be titled “Elder Scrolls 6: Redfall” and it could be set in High Rock. It could also feature more building mechanics.
As Den of Geek reports, fans have done an amazing job rising up to the challenge set by Bethesda in figuring out where “Elder Scrolls 6” will be located. The conclusion that many have come up with after combing through every frame of the teaser trailer released is that the setting will be in High Rock. This is the only place that makes sense after a process of elimination where Elsweyr and Valenwood were also brought up.
The title for “Elder Scrolls 6” is a result of a trademark dispute that flared up between author Jay Falconer and Zenimax. The writer took issue with the company’s move to try and own the word “Redfall” since this would affect his own novels. The two sides are currently locked in a legal dispute over this development.
Finally, there have been rumors about “Elder Scrolls 6” featuring more detailed building mechanics than what was provided in the “Hearthfire” DLC of the previous game. It would seem that players really love to customize their homes and build settlements, so Bethesda might just give them exactly what they want.
As for when “Elder Scrolls 6” will be hitting the market, this is still up in the air. Some say that 2021 could be the magic year, but there are no guarantees when it comes to this particular subject.
