After a long midseason break, fans will finally get to have a Valentine treat as they will get to see the hit TV series ‘Empire’ again. And with that, fans should expect more drama and intense scenes to come as the upcoming episodes will circle around the Lyon family who will be expecting a lot of trouble on the second season.
With the new episode comes a new character for everyone to welcome as it was revealed that Morocco Omari, from the TV series "Homeland," will be joining the cast of "Empire." Omari will be taking on the role of an FBI agent who will cause problems for Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard). While he is expected to be a major recurring role, it was hinted that the character could become a series regular in the near future.
He will stop at nothing to outwit Lucious and it was stated, "It's expected that Tariq will go 'toe-to-toe' with Lucious — without any flinching. That's where his smooth style — tempered by 'an air of the streets' — will come in handy. He moves without remorse, yet will always offer a person what's fair before taking them out."
The upcoming episode which is entitled “Death Will Have His Day”, written and directed by Danny Strong, might circle around the possibility of the company being returned to the Lyon family, knowing full well that the last episode showed how Lucious was removed as CEO during a board vote called by Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) and Hakeem disobeyed Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), who had instructed him not to vote against his father.
On the other hand, fans are raving for questions as to who will be coming back to reprise their role on the said show. There is still no definite answer to this one yet but the executive producer of "Empire," Ilene Chaiken, shared information about the fate of the relationship of Jamal and Michael. She said, "We will see Michael again. So far Michael has been the great love of Jamal's life. And just because they hurt each other doesn't mean they're finished with each other."
Stay tuned for more updates as we wait for episode 11 of "Empire" season 2 to air on Mar. 30.
