SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 23, 2017 -- Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:FDML), will highlight its leading commercial vehicle products for the wheel end, visibility and engine repair markets during Heavy-Duty Aftermarket Week 2017 (HDAW) in Las Vegas, Nev., January 23-26. The company’s featured brands include Abex® friction products, FP Diesel® engine components, National® oil seals, and Wagner® lighting products.
Among the commercial vehicle repair solutions that will be on display in the company’s exhibit (#405) are:
Abex Air Disc Brake Pads
Abex Air Disc Brake Pads (ADBHD1369), the most popular Air Disc Brake application in North America, contain OE-quality formulations designed for enhanced stopping power and extended disc pad and rotor life. Equipped with OE-style green coat stripes, this coating provides consistent performance out of the box and throughout the life of the pad. These Air Disc Brake Pads also come with a mechanical retention system to resist the friction material shearing from the back plate and a complete installation hardware kit. Manufactured at Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ ISO/TS 16949:2009-certified facility in Glasgow, Kentucky, these pads meet Global ISO performance and wear standards.
Abex Reduced Stopping Distance (RSD) Brake Block
Abex RX 6297 RSD-certified commercial grade friction linings are created to exceed both the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 121 Reduced Stopping Distance (RSD) requirement and OE brake manufacturer standard for 23,000-pound tractor applications. The highly advanced, copper-free, crack-resistant lining is engineered to help maintain like-new braking performance while experiencing minimal swell and growth and offering excellent lining and drum wear. The Abex brand also offers independently validated, RSD-certified linings for 20,000-pound tractor applications.
FP Diesel POWERFORGED® One-Piece Steel Pistons for Cummins® ISX15 engines
FP Diesel announces the availability of new POWERFORGED one-piece steel pistons covering late model ISX15 EPA 2007 engines. FP Diesel’s exclusive POWERFORGED one-piece friction welded steel pistons are made from forged steel providing exceptional strength and durability. The unique closed cooling gallery holds more oil and allows it to reach more of the piston’s interior surfaces, maximizing cooling. The closed cooling gallery results in a box structure that significantly reduces piston deformity and increases support to the ring lands. The pistons are finished with an exclusive in-house manganese phosphate coating to insure greater resistance to scuffing and superior break-in. The POWERFORGED ISX15 piston is just one part of the complete power solutions FP Diesel makes available for these popular Cummins engines.
National Oil Bearings, Seals and Wheel-end Products
The National 38 Gold Series wheel end seal is made in the U.S. It features an exclusive PFTE compound that withstands extreme temperatures and provides superior containment exclusion technology for long life and low cost per mile operation.
Wagner LongLife HD Lamps, Miniature Lamps and Sealed Beam Headlamps
Wagner LongLife HD lamps include several features ideally suited to commercial vehicles, with extra-strength filaments. Many also feature a patented fifth lead support wire to further enhance durability and vehicle uptime. Each LongLife HD miniature lamp is charged with a premium Krypton gas mixture that helps enhance filament life and provides a purer, whiter light than standard incandescent lamps, while LongLife HD sealed beam headlamps feature impact-resistant quartz glass and a ruggedized lamp housing to resist shock, vibration and damage caused by road debris.
