In less than a week, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is happening, and gaming fans can expect a slew of updates and major announcements. One of the highly anticipated titles to be presented at this trade show is Square Enix’s “Final Fantasy 7 Remake.”
This should not come as a surprise since confirmations were already made by “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase that new teasers will be released in 2019. Given that E3 is one of the biggest annual gaming conventions, it is only fitting for developers to present more updates during this three-day event. E3 takes place on June 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California.
Nomura and Kitase promised by the end of 2018 that the development of “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” is going as planned allowing them to release new teasers this year. Fulfilling that promise, Square Enix released a small update at Sony’s State of Play. A brief trailer revealed an all-new look on Cloud and the other AVALANCHE members in action in the much-improved animation of the upcoming game.
This was followed by a remark from Kitase through a Sony PlayStation blog last month, “We are preparing to release more official information in June.” The game producer is most likely referring to E3 since it is the only major event happening this month.
Fans already know that “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” is practically a complete overhaul of the original game. But what completes the essence of the “remake” is that the role-playing game is being designed to have more action-based gameplay. It has also been confirmed that the title will have episodic releases.
A new trailer or gameplay walkthrough at E3 will surely be appreciated by fans. But what would make a bigger headline is if Square Enix decides to announce the release date window for “Final Fantasy 7 Remake.”
