“Final Fantasy 8: Remaster” will be coming out later this year although Square Enix has yet to announce an exact release date for the game. Aside from a fresh coat of paint, the studio will also be making a lot of changes into the game that will improve the quality of life of gamers.
One such alteration is allowing “Final Fantasy 8: Remaster” to move at a faster speed to accelerate progression. This will be complemented by the option to turn off random encounters in the game that usually hampers movement when traveling across the map.
“Final Fantasy 8: Remaster” will also be improving the battle sequences of the game. Specifically, the HP and ATB meters will be set at max with Limit Breaks always available, TechRadar reported.
Director reveals his thought-process behind the creation of Final Fantasy 8: Remaster
With the original game celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Square Enix made it their mission to polish “Final Fantasy 8: Remaster” to a gleaming shine. Director Yoshinori Kitase previously revealed that they originally planned the game to be released as merely a port to the current console generation.
“At first, the plan was to release [Final Fantasy 8: Remaster] on current-generation hardware, with more or less the same graphics. However, the title recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, and since TVs evolved from SD CRTs to LCD HDTVs, we decided that it was necessary to improve on character quality,” Kitase said.
Final Fantasy 8: Remaster to allow PC players to unlock all abilities, items, and more
Anticipation surrounding “Final Fantasy 8: Remaster” is high since its fan base is considered the most hardcore followers among all the entries for the franchise. This isn’t surprising given that the game is packed with a lot of emotional moments throughout its story arc. Indeed, its character development alone is enough to justify the hype surrounding the title.
So “Final Fantasy 8: Remaster” allowing players the freedom to quickly progress in the game to enjoy the plot is a welcome improvement. This is doubly true for those playing on PC as the game will allow players to use cheat codes that can unlock all the items, abilities, cards, and more. Hopefully, we learn more about the remaster in the upcoming Gamescom 2019, which is slated to take place between Aug. 20 to 24.
