De’Aaron Fox’s Curry Fox 1 signature shoe has been revealed, marking his debut as the first Curry Brand athlete. Meanwhile, Nike’s Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Halo” will be available through an SNKRS Exclusive Access drop, with a general release scheduled for September 19, 2024.
De’Aaron Fox Becomes First Curry Brand Signature Athlete with Debut of Curry Fox 1 Shoe
De’Aaron Fox is set to join the elite group of NBA players with their signature shoe, becoming the first-ever signature athlete under the Curry Brand. Fox’s relationship with Stephen Curry has evolved over recent years, from intense on-court rivals to a mentor-student dynamic, with the four-time champion sharing valuable wisdom with the rising Kings star.
In October 2023, it was announced that Fox, an All-Star and former Clutch Player of the Year, would receive his signature shoe under Curry Brand. At a recent Under Armour media event with Curry, details of the Curry Fox 1 were revealed, showcasing a low-cut, runner-like design with a mid-foot strap.
The signature shoe will feature a unique logo for Fox, resembling the letter "D" while also depicting a curled-up fox. According to Sneaker News, this logo will appear throughout his signature line, including on the insoles of the shoes. Additionally, the mid-foot strap is designed to resemble a fox’s tail, and Curry’s branding is also incorporated, with his name on the lace tips and his logo on the toe.
The Curry Fox 1 will include Under Armour’s Flow cushioning technology, providing a full-length foam platform similar to Curry’s signature line. More details about the Curry Fox 1 are expected throughout 2024, with an official release slated for later this year. Both Curry and Fox will embark on a China Tour from September 10–16, where additional previews of the Curry Fox 1 may be revealed.
