When the Battle Royale mode for “Fortnite” was first launched, one of the things that made it quite similar to “PUBG” was the fact that players could not respawn when they were killed. It seems that this is about to change with a new feature that Epic is seemingly poised to implement. However, aside from the matter of there being no official confirmation, it would appear that respawning requires sacrifice.
As Blasting News reports, there have been recent developments in the world of “Fortnite” that has the community buzzing with anticipation. The most prominent of these are the vans popping up all over the place that could only be seen from a distance. After being approached, they would disappear and this only added to the mystery. It was then learned that these vans might be respawning platforms.
Even more recently, it was discovered that to use the feature of respawning, players would have to make some sacrifices with regards to their items. What’s more, this particular feature in “Fortnite” is not possible in the Solo mode and will likely only be accessible when playing in pairs or in teams. Admittedly, this makes the most sense.
For those who might be thinking that the concept of reviving teammates in a Battle Royale game sounds familiar, this is because this can also be found in “Apex Legends.” It would seem that Epic is being quite proactive in trying to maintain the position of “Fortnite” as the top video game around and maintain its 250 million players.
None of this is confirmed until the company makes an official announcement with regards to what the respawn system in “Fortnite” will be and how it will work. Considering the past feature introductions, though, it would be safe to assume that Epic will deliver this time, as well. Fans will simply have to wait.
