SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 26, 2018 -- Franklin Templeton Investments today announced the appointment of Erika Arevuo as head of Institutional Marketing. Arevuo will be based in London and report to California-based David McSpadden, executive vice president, Global Marketing Services.
Arevuo will be responsible for developing, coordinating and providing strategic oversight of the firm’s global institutional marketing efforts. She will work closely with the firm’s existing distribution, product management and marketing teams, globally, to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to elevate the firm’s presence among institutional investors.
Arevuo brings over 30 years of industry experience. She joins from BlackRock, London, where she was director of Global Institutional Marketing, EMEA. She was previously head of EMEA Investor Services Marketing at J.P. Morgan, London, and prior to that role, she served as head of European Marketing and Communications at State Street Global Advisors, also in London.

Erika’s decades of knowledge and experience developing and executing large scale, multi-channel campaigns to this investor base will be instrumental in helping the firm take its institutional business to the next level.”

Arevuo holds a postgraduate diploma in economics from London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA double major in economics and American studies from Smith College in Massachusetts.
