Inflows –
- Looking at last week’s fund flow, Risk affinity sentiment is crystal clear. However, there seems to be discretion in choosing assets.
- iShares Russell 2000 saw the biggest inflows of the week in the tune of $2.01 billion, which can be seen as a major sign of risk affinity. Similarly, SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust saw inflows in the tune of $1.59 billion.
- iShares iBoxx $High Yield Corporate bond ETF received inflows of $700 million.
- iShares MSCI emerging market ETF saw inflows of $631 million.
- Energy select sector SPDR fund received inflows of $545 million.
Outflows –
- iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN saw the biggest outflows among peers in the tune of -$1.2 billion. This is another sign of risk affinity as VIX declined.
- Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund saw outflows of -$373.4 million.
- Thanks to a stronger yen, japan remains out of favor. WisdomTree Japan Hedged Equity Fund suffered outflows of $340.5 million.
- iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF saw outflows of $200 million.
