Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive recently held its latest earnings call, where it was also revealed that three unannounced remastered games are in the works. Now, a new report suggests that it may include several old “GTA” games.

Take-Two has more remasters in the pipeline

A slide from Take-Two’s Q1 2022 financial report was shared on Resetera, stating that there are six “new iterations of previously released titles” in the pipeline. Three of them were already announced, while the other three were only labeled as “unannounced.”

Since the document was made known to the public, speculations have started on what these unannounced remasters could be. And most fans are hoping that some of the old and more recent titles from Rockstar Games are included in the pipeline.

What Take-Two remasters to expect

Take-Two’s subsidiaries include plenty of studios with highly successful AAA titles released many years ago. That means there are many candidates for the unannounced remasters. VGC’s Andy Robinson suggested in a tweet that “some of these will almost certainly cover ‘GTA’ titles.” And if that is the case, there are going to be plenty of “GTA” releases to expect in the coming months.

It is worth noting that two of the known remasters in Take-Two’s pipelines were already from Rockstar’s blockbuster franchise – the expanded and enhanced edition of “GTA V” and the standalone release of “GTA Online.” Also part of the list is the “Kerbal Space Program” enhanced edition.

However, considering the solid fanbase “GTA” has maintained over the years, having more than two remasters in the pipeline may not be too much. Some fans are already hoping that one of these projects is “GTA: Vice City,” which was released almost 19 years ago.

There are also suggestions that Take-Two could be planning an enhanced edition of “Red Dead Redemption 2” that would bring a full version designed for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Another feasible candidate is a remastered “Bully,” especially since the development of its sequel had been reportedly canceled. Meanwhile, with already confirmed “GTA” remasters, others speculate that the upcoming remasters could be from a different series or even a different Take-Two studio.
