The premiere for “Game of Thrones” Season 8 that is intended mostly for the media and influential people in the sphere of entertainment launched on Wednesday and threats were issued. Considering the sources of these threats are Arya (Maisie Williams) and Sansa (Sophie Turner), they would have been taken seriously. The subject is with regards to spoilers and taking photos or videos.
As IndieWire notes, the premiere for “Game of Thrones” Season 8 on Wednesday began in an interesting style, with the two dangerous sisters in the show taking the audience to task. The disembodied voices delivering chilling statements only added to the thrill of the premiere. The monologue went so:
Sansa: “No photos, no videos, no posting spoilers on social media.”
Arya: “Do you think you’re safe when you get home, you stupid man? You’re never safe.”
Sansa: “If your phone should happen to ring during the show, your face would look lovely on my sister’s wall. We take these matters seriously. You should as well.”
Arya: “Remember what happened to the last bastard who f***ed us.”
Sansa: “OK, enjoy the show.”
Those who religiously watch the HBO series will likely understand what was happening during that moment. The opening was intending to call back on the fact that Arya is a deadly assassin and Sansa is a ruler with plenty of power over other killers. Suffice it to say, this particular premiere for “Game of Thrones” Season 8 delivered on the experience.
As a result, many reviewers and critics were able to provide contextual impressions with regards to the show’s first episode and they delivered without spoiling anything. It would appear that “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is going to cause tears to fall from more than just sadness. When it finally premieres to all audiences on April 14, events will be happening fast.
