When a flagship phone by a manufacturer is nearing its release, the company most likely leaks information about it in the hopes of getting people interested. So it comes as no surprise that the Google Pixel specs are currently making the rounds on the internet under the guise of having been leaked.
And while there might be a chance the leak is actually a hoax, this time it’s legitimate. One of the sites where the leaked specs of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel XL appeared is Reddit, Forbes reported. And sure enough, it got users talking.
However, not all of them are talking positively. The bad review is centered on the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel XL having 4GB of RAM.
Users pointed out that the previous models had the same memory and were expecting that the new Google Pixel flagship will have at least 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Issues regarding memory have been well observed in the past as smartphones with this kind of RAM tend to slow down after eight to10 months of use.
Indeed, popular YouTube reviewers are calling out manufacturers on this issue. So the fact that both the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel XL will have 4GB will undoubtedly create some friction between the company and its consumers.
Having said that, the specs of Google Pixel 3 and Pixel XL are incredible. Under the hood are a Qualcomm 845 chipset with the Adreno 360 GPU, and a 64-bit octa-core processor.
The main concern is the 4GB of RAM. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel XL’s rivals haven’t suffered declining performances as time goes by and all of them have higher memories compared to this upcoming phone. Google has set the release date for both phones on Oct. 4, 2018, keeping up with its yearly tradition since it started rolling the model out.
