“Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 is airing soon, and prior to its return, fans should fully accept the fact that Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and April Kepner (Sarah Drew) are not appearing in the series anymore.
The two bid their farewells in the 14th installment and this goodbye brought a lot of changes in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15. This was not just in the aspect of the cast lineup, but the story will also change a bit as Arizona and April’s characters will leave a void that cannot be filled.
Returning and New Cast Members
To compensate for the loss, it was said that a couple of old characters are set to make their comeback. Those characters that the viewers have come to love such as Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) are returning. He will be in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 full-time, which means fans will see him from start to finish, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
It was said that there is also a possibility that Scott Speedman is also reappearing to once again act as Nick Marsh. His arrival is likely because it was hinted that “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 will have more romantic scenes. Nick and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) hit it off in the previous season and their connection may blossom into something more.
“Nashville’s” Chris Carmack has also been added to the cast. He will be in Grey Sloan Memorial for a recurring role in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15. As per Deadline, he will plat an orthopedic surgeon who is known as an “Ortho God.”

Finale
Is “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 the end? This is the most common question from the viewers now because the drama series has been on air for so long already.
Many have the impression that this will be the show’s finale, but according to Entertainment Tonight, this is not the case because the writers and producers have not figured out the series’ ending yet. Thus, all the people involved in the production, including the cast, will focus on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 for now.
"We're starting to think about how you would end a show this iconic. How do you end it? But we're not there yet,” she said. “We're going to focus on season 15. We just take it one season at a time."
Air Date
On July 24, ABC announced the exact date when “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 is airing. Based on the statement, the series is coming back on Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. The return of the show will mark the medical drama’s new milestone as the longest-running primetime series of the network. It was added that the viewers are going to be treated to two-hour back-to-back episodes to kickstart “Grey's Anatomy” season 15.
