NEW YORK and PALMA, Spain, Sept. 14, 2016 -- TransPerfect, the world's largest privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, today announced an engagement with Grupo Piñero—a leading Spanish tourism group that operates in more than 30 countries under multiple brands—to support the launch and ongoing maintenance of six new language sites.
TransPerfect completed the localization of the refreshed Bahia Principe website, which includes 24 luxury hotels located across the Caribbean and Spain. Now, site visitors can search and book any hotels within the Bahia Principe brand in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Italian—with the Russian version of the site set to launch in the coming weeks.
To streamline a previously manual content management process, Grupo Piñero deployed TransPerfect’s GlobalLink® technology, an enterprise-scale application that automates many of the manual tasks associated with the translation of global content. Using customized workflow technology that integrates with Oracle WebCenter Sites, GlobalLink will simplify the ongoing maintenance of Grupo Piñero’s global sites by automatically routing new content to TransPerfect's production department for translation and placing the translated content back on the localized sites.
According to Isabel Piñero, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Grupo Piñero, “Our aim was to introduce high-quality content to our website, enabling customers to search and book efficiently in their preferred language. We found that TransPerfect's GlobalLink technology was not only helpful, but instrumental in speeding up the translation process—allowing us to achieve our global goals.”
Phil Shawe, Co-CEO at TransPerfect, commented, “We are pleased to be able to have the opportunity to help Grupo Piñero grow in international markets, and we look forward to helping them continue to communicate their voice across the globe with the help of our GlobalLink technology.”
“Grupo Piñero is well-acquainted with the wants and needs of its customer base, and is committed to their customer bases abroad by offering content in multiple languages,” added TransPerfect Co-CEO Liz Elting. “We are excited to watch this growing company’s continued international success and are proud to play a role in their international strategy.”
