Hamster Kombat developers have revealed their highly anticipated roadmap for 2025, featuring new Web3 gaming expansions, NFT rewards, and a token buyback strategy, signaling big changes for the hit Telegram game.
Among the many announcements made by the developers of the hit Telegram clicker game Hamster Kombat for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025 is the introduction of a Web3 gaming platform.
Hamster Kombat Reveals Web3 Gaming Plans for 2025
The developers of the Web3 game unveiled their plans for the fourth quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 in a new roadmap that was unveiled on September 25. In 2024, Hamster Kombat still intends to introduce additional games inside the Hamster ecosystem, integrate non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as in-game assets, and integrate external payment systems, according to the company.
October 2024:
- Hamster Kombat's Season 2 launch
- Expansion of the game library
- Integration of external payment systems into the game
November 2024:
- Release of PWA for payment service integration
- Release of the first games from external developers within Hamster Kombat
- Introduction of NFT mechanics into Hamster Kombat’s Season 2
December 2024:
- Integration of the ad network into the store products
- Launch of clans deeply integrated into the second season's mechanics
Keeping players interested following airdrops is a problem for Web3 games. There are plans to keep users around, though, according to the Hamster Kombat team. Users' tokens may be worth more after the airdrop, according to the team's statement to Cointelegraph. They stated:
“11.25% of tokens distributed after Season 1 will be vested and unlocked 10 months after the listing. Given the project’s rapid development, the value of these tokens can be comparable to the initial unlock.”
Token Buybacks and Value Propositions for Players
Not content to rest on its laurels, the team said that it will shift its attention to the value proposition of games within its ecosystem. Also, they mentioned that "this approach is different from the traditional one," which involves Web3 developers paying people to find airdrops.
The Hamster Kombat crew has announced that the business will soon be launching an advertising network specifically for use by Hamster ecosystem games. The release date for this was mentioned in the roadmap as December 2024.
Additionally, the company emphasized that tokens will be distributed as prizes using money from the ad network. The document stated:
Hamster Kombat's Token Burns and Future Plans
“We’re also planning to use ad revenue to buy back tokens from the market for regular distribution to players and token burns.”
