A lot of things don’t make much sense in how Netflix is handling the “Hunter X Hunter” anime series, which can be understood when considering what is involved. Basically, there are a total of 148 episodes released for the anime and they are actually already available on the streaming platform. However, they are only available in other regions and for now, US Netflix users will simply have to wait for a while to hear more about “Hunter X Hunter” Season 4.
As OtakuKart points out, there has been no new content for the “Hunter X Hunter” anime series simply because the show has already caught up with the manga. Unfortunately, the graphic novel version of the property is moving at a snail’s pace, so there really is nothing that the animators can do. However, “Hunter X Hunter” Season 4 already exists and it is one that fans of the series might actually like to see.
With regards to Netflix acquiring the rights to stream “Hunter X Hunter,” there might be some backroom deal details that fans are missing. Buying the license to actually show an anime on the platform would not have been cheap. Netflix might have simply been hesitant to get all the episodes and “Hunter X Hunter” Season 4 for US consumers due to the price.
Then again, this doesn’t change the fact that there are already 148 episodes that exist on the platform that is being offered to other users in other places. In many, there is already even “Hunter X Hunter” Season 5 and yet the US version has yet to feature “Hunter X Hunter” Season 4. Making things worse is the lack of communication on when fans can watch more episodes.
Is “Hunter X Hunter” Season 4 even coming to Netflix? It might or it might not. For those who might not have the patience to wait, Crunchyroll actually has all the episodes of the anime.
