As United States President Donald Trump is impeached from office and his removal from office is underway even into the new year, it bears thinking what else is in store for people like First Daughter Ivanka Trump. In a recent interview, she shared what lies ahead for her in the coming year.
Speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation, Ivanka discussed her future in the White House, revealing that she may not return as her father’s political advisor in case he gets re-elected for a second term in office. Ivanka is currently the White House advisor along with her husband, Jared Kushner. As to why she will not return in case of re-election, Ivanka explained that her children are her top priority and that her decisions will always be flexible enough to make sure her kids are put first.
She went on to explain that it is also about the impact and how there are still things to do under the administration. “One of the things I’ve been most proud of is some of the work we’ve done around catalyzing the private sector to step up and invest in the skills and potential of American workers across the nation,” said Ivanka, who then expressed her amazement at how the administration was able to provide jobs for many Americans in the country.
Although it bears mentioning that to many, the couple has not been the most successful in other aspects of the administration, like trying to convince Donald to stay within the Paris Climate Accords, for instance. But whether or not Ivanka leaves the White House come, November remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, the First Daughter is also announced as one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2020. She will be joining in on the discussion regarding jobs and what the workforce would be in the future alongside CTA CEO Gary Shapiro. The talk will be on the 7th of January at the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian, where the two will talk about “employer-led strategies to reskill workers, create apprenticeships, and develop K-12 STEM education programs” reports Variety.
