J Balvin was recently spotted wearing a custom Air Jordan 4 inspired by his upcoming Rayo album cover. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan 1 Low SE "Metallic Zinc," featuring reflective leather and a gilded Jumpman hang tag, is set for a Fall 2024 release at $125.
J Balvin Teases a Custom Air Jordan 4 Inspired by His Rayo Album, Hinting at a New Collaboration with Jordan Brand
J Balvin has skillfully used the first three Air Jordan legacy models as a canvas to share intimate aspects of his personal life. From the vibrant sunsets of Medellín to the driving force his son Rio provides, the inspirations behind the Colombian superstar's collaborations with Jordan Brand have resulted in unparalleled creativity and eccentricity. Following the sequence of these models, it appears that J Balvin may be preparing for his next collaboration.
According to Sneaker News, J Balvin was recently spotted wearing a previously unseen iteration of the Air Jordan 4. This new design features a two-toned white and metallic chrome silver upper paired with a light tan and grey midsole. This fresh take on the AJ4 could signify the next chapter in the ongoing partnership between J Balvin and Jordan Brand. However, no leaked details have been about a potential J Balvin x Jumpman release.
Interestingly, the color scheme of this Air Jordan 4 closely resembles the cover art of J Balvin's upcoming album, Rayo, which showcases a chrome silver hatchback car. This connection suggests the shoes might be a promotional pair celebrating the album's release.
Air Jordan 1 Low SE ‘Metallic Zinc’ Shines with Reflective Leather and Nostalgic 2010s Vibes
The Air Jordan 1 Low "Halloween" has recently dominated the spotlight, highlighting how the Air Jordan 1 Low model is second only to the Dunk Low in vibrant colorways. Adding to this trend, a new Special Edition, the Air Jordan 1 Low "Metallic Zinc," will debut this fall.
True to its name, the shoe features reflective leather that covers the entire upper, extending from heel to toe. The same metallic sheen is applied to the insole branding and the Jumpman and Wings emblems on the tongue and heel. A contrasting "Velvet Brown" outsole and a crisp white sock liner and laces enhance the shoe's aesthetic. An unexpected detail comes in the form of a gilded Jumpman hang tag, which dangles from a dog-tag-style beaded chain.
While the choice of silhouette aligns with current trends, this design also pays homage to a prominent style from the 2010s. It is reminiscent of the "Anodized" pack and the Air Jordan 1 High "Metallic Zinc," which featured a similar shade.
The Air Jordan 1 Low SE "Metallic Zinc" is anticipated to drop in Fall 2024, with a retail price of $125. Official images have been released, building anticipation for the upcoming release.
