Based in Houston, he will lead JLT’s Energy Surety Practice in the U.S. Hennesy has the capabilities to provide valuable surety advice throughout the energy industry and specific experience in the changing Bureau of Ocean Energy Management financial assurance regulatory environment.

Hennesy has over eight years of commercial surety experience serving a variety of companies within the Fortune 2000 and private company equivalent corporate clients. Most recently, Pat was responsible for management of the Oil & Gas Surety (Energy Surety) business within RLI Surety. This dedicated focus to the oil and gas industry was a national role that encompassed a broad scope of energy related surety risks both onshore and offshore utilizing an asset based underwriting methodology. In addition, Pat has experience with all facets of the surety life cycle including complex credit analysis, mergers and acquisitions, private equity involvement, private and public LBO’s, debt financed dividends, credit agreement and covenant analysis, security structure packaging, collateral agreements, and claims management.
