Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan’s portrayal of the popular erotic film series “Fifty Shades” pushed both to celebrity stardom. Due to the success brought by the movies, fans of the duo can’t help but speculate if there’s another movie for the series.
Host Jimmy Fallon asked Dakota Johnso this very question, and the 28-year old actress said that she doesn’t think the film will extend to the trilogy where it ended, Inquisitr reported. When Jamie Dornan was asked the same question, the “Fifty Shades” star said that it’s unlikely to happen, saying the lack of books by writer E.L. James is a clear sign that this will be the case. He even went on to say that he’s “fed up” with the series and wants to tackle other projects.
As for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson’s next endeavors, the two have been cast to play different roles in entirely different film genres. Dornan will star in the soon-to-be-released “Robin Hood,” where the “Fifty Shades” actor will appear alongside Jamie Foxx and Robert Egerton.
Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson’s new mystery/horror film, “Suspiria,” will see her lead the film with Chloe Grace Moretz and award-winning actress Tilda Swinton. Moreover, Johnson was also asked to join an upcoming the thriller film by Annapurna.
The new movie is to be written and directed by British-Iranian filmmaker Babak Anvari. The movie has yet to be named but reports have it that other than Johnson, it will also have Zazie Beetz as one of its stars.
According to news outlets, the upcoming film slated for March 2019 release will be revolving around the story of a bartender (Armie Hammer), whose life starts getting complicated after the character picks up a cellular phone left at his bar in New Orleans.
Whether Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will appear in the same film again is still uncertain at this point. The “Fifty Shades” couple hasn’t even appeared in the same interview after they finished filming the third installment of the erotic/film series.
