After Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux officially announced their separation on February 15, fans have been asking what became of the two stars. The chemistry between the two was undeniable at first but it became clear that the pair weren’t compatible with each other in the long run.
One of the major differences that contributed to their decision to ultimately end their relationship is their disagreement where to live. Jennifer Aniston preferred the atmosphere of Los Angeles, while Justin Theroux liked the chaotic environment of New York City, CheatSheet reported.
Although the “Friends” alum did try to live in the Big Apple for a while, the city didn’t suit her and was apparently unhappy during her stay in the area. This isn’t to say that Justin Theroux didn’t make the effort to make her feel at home. The “Maniac” actor did all he could to integrate Aniston in the life of New York and even made a deal with paparazzi to only take pictures of her once day. But all of it was for naught as they ultimately separated in the end.
Now, the stars are trying to find themselves again while taking on projects to keep their mind off things. Jennifer Aniston is set to shoot her next film “First Ladies,” while Justin Theroux will be co-starring with Olivia Munn in the film “Violet.”
Aniston’s soon to be released Netflix movie, "Dumplin," will also be making its debut on the streaming platform on Dec. 7. The film follows the story of Rosie Dickson (Jennifer Aniston), a former local beauty queen who runs a pageant in a small town in Texas. Justin Theroux also has his own project in Netflix although it is a series rather than a movie.
The show is a psychological drama following the lives of two strangers who underwent a dark pharmaceutical trial. The series has been well-received by both fans and critics alike, receiving 81 percent freshness on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8/10 on IMDB. As for the friendship between Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, the ex-couple is still amicable with each other following their split although they haven’t been seen together after the fact.
As said earlier, the duo is still trying to find themselves again and it would be fair to assume that it’s going to be a while before they completely recover from what they lost. Hopefully, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux will one day find true happiness that each of them deserves.
