Jung Joon Young is in a very difficult situation right now after the authorities discovered about his hidden camera activities where he film women during intimate moments and then sharing the videos to his friends on the Korean messenger app called KakaoTalk. The ‘2 Days and 1 Night’ star admitted his crime and now being question by the authorities handling the case.
Jung Joon Young was filming in the U.S. when the sex scandal broke in Korea. He immediately flew back home on March 12 to answer the allegations hurled against him.
On March 13, Jung Joon Young released a letter of apology and admitted that the offenses being linked to him are true. Part of his letter reads: “Although it’s already late, I apologize through this letter to all the people who showed an interest in me and gave me a second chance.”
He added, “In regards to what is being said in relation to me, I admit to all my crimes. I filmed women without their consent and shared it in a social media chatroom, and while I did so I didn’t feel a great sense of guilt.”
It was reported that at least 10 women are involved in Jung Joon Young’s hidden camera scandal. The recordings occurred between the year 2015 and 2016.
His illegal deeds came to light after Big Bang’s Seungri was investigated for another case involving his club called the Burning Sun. It was discovered that the two celebrities have a group chat and a few other friends are members too. It was through that chatroom where the videos were shared for everyone to see.
As the scandal escalates, Jung Joon Young announced that he is quitting from the entertainment industry. His management company, just announced today that it has terminated the star’s contract and the singer already withdrew from his shows like the “Salty Tour,” “2 Days and 1 Night” and “One Night Food Trip.”
