Jungkook, the youngest in the BTS boy group, celebrated his 22nd birthday on Sept. 1 and it seems the celebrations are not yet over. This is because fans worldwide organized the biggest birthday celebration for the idol singer and it was incredible.
According to Allkpop, to celebrate Jungkook’s birthday, about 400 projects were put together by his fans and by far, this has been the largest and grandest event that has ever been organized for an idol. It was stated that the events include public signboard greetings and charity works.
LED screens, billboards and TV stations ads
The BTS member was said to have received big presents, and this includes a number of billboards and outdoor LED screens that fans around Asia had rented to greet Jungkook. They also used the biggest LED screen in Asia that was only previously used to cheer for Vietnam’s national football team. The BTS maknae is actually only the second person to be featured in this 3-sided LED screen in Vietnam
Fans also arranged birthday ads for Jungkook in Spotify and leading channels in Korea such as KBS, SBS, and MTV. The greeting ads were paid as to the number of times it will air starting from Sept. 1 to Sept. 10.
Charity campaigns for the needy
Jungkook’s supporters around the world also organized charity campaigns for the benefit of various organizations that aim to help the orphaned children, youths with disabilities, and even dog shelters. They also have one where they will plant trees to help restore the Amazon rainforest.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was greeted not just by his fans but colleagues and other celebrities as well. Justin Bieber posted a tweet to greet him while according to Billboard, Steve Aoki also wished him a happy birthday.
But what made his greeting special is that Aoki greeted him while inside the SunTrust Park and he let the people in the stadium greet Jungkook as well by using his phone to capture the crowd as they greet the BTS member. The DJ and record producer is well-acquainted with Jungkook and the whole BTS crew for they worked together before. Aoki and the group first worked for the remix of "Mic Drop" then they teamed up again for the DJ’s "Waste It On Me" track.
