Jungkook’s popularity is unstoppable as he is still the no.1 trending Kpop idol. The youngest member of the BTS boy band is not just the team’s lead dancer and main vocalist, but there is no denying that he is also the most popular.
Jungkook has been topping the surveys and rankings on leading platforms online such as Google and YouTube. As Allkpop reported last month, there are 67 million searches for BTS on the video-sharing site, and the golden maknae is the top in most searched for individuals. This figure is based on monthly results; thus, this is more astonishing.
Jungkook’s rank in online platforms
On Google, the most-used search engine, it was said that Jungkook placed first in the list of top 50. He bested his co-BTS members in the top 10 that include V, RM, Jimin, Suga and Jin. It was mentioned that on the blogging platform, TUMBLR, the 21-year-old idol is also the most charting Kpop idol in most weeks this year.
Jungkook is also trending on Twitter and Instagram, especially when he posts his photos. In the BTS’ official account, his pictures usually gather the most “likes” and commented on by thousands of fans.
Jungkook’s star power
Another proof of Jungkook’s overwhelming popularity is that he can sell almost anything. Many times, the singer unintentionally promotes a product that he does not even endorse, and they get sold out in a short time too. Earlier this year, he famously made the stocks of Downy fabric conditioner to ran out after he mentioned on V Live that he’s using it to soften his clothes after every wash.
The maker’s of the product apologized for their supply for three months was sold out in just a matter of days after Jungkook mentioned the product. Another time, he sold out wine after eagle-eyed fans noticed the brand he was drinking while live streaming in his hotel room.
Jungkook in Mars
Finally, everyone can feel Jungkook’s popularity not just online but offline as well. In fact, it could even be felt out of space as a fan sent his name to Mars! NASA is sending another rover to Mars in 2020, and the organization announced that they would accept names to be sent to the second smallest planet and a fan enlisted Jungkook’s name. Allkpop reported that along with RM and V, he already received the boarding pass to Mars.
