It’s almost August and PlayStation Plus users have plenty to look forward to, with free games being at the top of the list. For this upcoming month, the hit destruction/spy simulator Just Cause 3 is on the block and it will be available for download on the PlayStation 4 at no charge. The same goes for a bunch of other games that will be available on Sony’s other platforms.
For the PS4, there are two other games that are available for free download, Game Spot reports. These include Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry and Downwell. There are free games available for the PS3 and the PS Vita as well. The previous generation console will get Snakeball and Super Motherload, while the handheld platform will be getting Downwell and Level 22.
This is all a part of the monthly slew of free games that Sony provides to its loyal users who pay the monthly fees for PlayStation Plus account. On that note, it’s also worth pointing out that free games are not always a good idea, PlayStation Lifestyle notes, so it’s best to get a feel for the games that are available before hitting that download button.
With that said, it’s easy enough to see that the upcoming list is not as impressive as the previous bunch. For the July fair, players could get access to Telltale’s Game of Thrones: A Telltale Series Season 1 for the PS4, along with Until Dawn.
For this batch, the best of the bunch would definitely have to be Just Cause 3, mostly because it has the most to offer. Along with destructible buildings, cars, and bridges, there are also plenty of incentives to cause as much mayhem as possible. It’s worth noting, however, that this offer only applies to the base game. Players will still need to buy the DLCs and the extra content.
