If speculations are correct and “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 8 is where the Love Sickness arc begins, anime fans are in for a treat. This storyline includes a mix of romantic and awkward moments between Shirogane and Shinomiya, but it also marks a significant shift in their convoluted mind games.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 episode 8: Shinomiya and Shirogane almost kiss
It is quite tricky to predict what happens next in the anime adaptation of Aka Akasaka’s same title manga because it tends to skip several chapters. There are also instances where events from the manga are not animated chronologically. However, some anime fans are hoping “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 8 is where the highly anticipated Love Sickness arc begins.
If this turns out to be the case, “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 8 will likely include the sequence where Shinomiya and Shirogane check out equipment for the upcoming sports festival. Things get interesting when they are suddenly locked inside. Due to their mind games, they both secretly assume the other person planned to make it seem like they were locked inside so they become vulnerable and confess their feelings. That is far from the truth, though.
The highlight of this possible “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 8 sequence is when Shinomiya falls and, like in most rom-com movies, Shirogane’s attempt to help her accidentally makes him land on top of her. In the manga, they remained in this situation for a brief moment. Shinomiya closes her eyes wondering what Shirogane would do. But, as said in the manga, they will both realize “kisses don’t just happen in fairy tales.” And, right on schedule, Miko Iino opens the storage room to witness the duo in yet another awkward position.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 episode 8: ‘Kaguya wants to be examined’
The non-kiss sequence, if it takes place in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 8, should lead to Kaguya’s visit at the hospital. Shirogane catches something on Shinomiya’s hair, and as they get physically closer the latter passes out. She will then be brought to the hospital so that one of the world’s top doctors can examine her only to be diagnosed that she is just “lovestruck.”
These events seem to be just a series of funny and romantic moments between Shirogane and Shinomiya. But the latter’s “lovestruck” diagnosis signifies that her feelings for President are getting stronger that she physically cannot contain it whenever they are close to each other. “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 episode 8 will be released on Saturday, May 30.
