“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 was one of the upcoming TV shows that took the stage at the Jump Festa 2020 on Sunday. The producers finally narrowed down its release date window while also announcing the addition of two new cast members.
'Kaguya-sama: Love Is War' season 2 cast, characters
While the series greatly revolves around Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya, the supporting characters around them play great roles in making their relentless mind games funnier and more exciting. This explains the hype around the addition of two recurring characters in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2.
Kobachi Osaragi and Miko Iino both briefly appeared in the season 1 finale, but it was confirmed on Sunday that they are going to be the newest recurring characters in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. They will be voiced by Rina Hidaka and Miyu Tomita, respectively.
These two are very close friends with Kobachi being a very reliable supporter of Miko’s hopes of winning the Student Council president’s election despite her failures. Anime fans should also look forward to Miko’s relationship with Yu Ishigami in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2.
In the manga, Miko and Ishigami started being hostile toward each other, especially when it comes to their student council tasks. But later develops a crush for Miko that could be one of the highlights in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. This is a good chance for the series to expand plot-wise, so the fans will have more storylines to look forward to other than Miyuki and Kaguya.
'Kaguya-sama: Love Is War' season 2 release date
The first season of the anime adaptation came out last January. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait until April 2020 to see “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. Considering that the second installment was announced a few months after season 1’s finale, the move from winter to spring season premiere is not totally surprising.
