Kate Middleton and Prince William have been involved in a string of divorce rumors, and lately, it was the worst for a third party was named for an alleged cheating scandal. It was reported that the Duke of Cambridge had an affair with Rose Hanbury and it was messy because the woman is also said to be a family friend of the royals.
While this was not proven, the rumors persist, and some people are convinced that it will not be long when this news will blow up. However, it appeared that Kate and Prince William are doing great as a couple as they were often pictured in sweet moments these days.
What’s next after divorce
Despite this, there is still a big possibility of divorce, and here are some of the things that could happen when they break up. If Kate Middleton and Prince William decided to end their marriage, the first thing that will transpire is the stripping of the royal title just like what happened to Princess Diana when she divorced Prince Charles.
Settlement money
Kate Middleton will be compensated through financial support. She is entitled to this, and the amount that she will receive depends on how long that she and Prince William have been married. They tied the knot in 2011, and with just eight years, her settlement money is minimal.
A gift of luxury home
Middleton will also be given a home, and it will not be far from where the Buckingham Palace. The decision to give her a house close to the royal family is mainly hinged on child custody. The co-parenting and joint custody of Prince William and Kate will be a lot easier if she is living not too far. Most likely, she may be moved to an apartment within the Kensington Palace.
The Queen’s interference
But then again, the Kate Middleton and Prince William divorce may not make it to the court as Queen Elizabeth is likely to interfere. As per Express, the Queen already warned her grandson about separation before he even proposed to Middleton, so she will never allow this to happen. This means that whether they like it or not, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will have to stay together even if they want to call it quits already.
