Kate Middleton was said to have visited a cosmetic surgery clinic to get a Botox. The rumors started after a prominent British plastic surgeon known as Dr. Munir Somji made a bold claim that the Duchess of Cambridge is availing the said treatment for her looks.
Though Somji did not mention Kate’s name, he showed pictures of the Duchess’ supposed “before and after” looks, apparently, in an effort to promote the Botox being offered in the Dr Medi Spa Clinic in London. The doctor posted Prince William’s photos on his Instagram, but after it got lots of attention, the account has been deleted.
The Instagram post on the Duchess of Cambridge’s Botox
In his post, the doctor uploaded two photos of the 37-year-old Duchess and wrote, “Our Kate loves a bit of baby Botox.” Her “before” photos showed her with wrinkles while the “after” snaps displayed a beautiful woman with radiant and unblemished skin. The second photo essentially presented a younger appearance after supposedly getting the Botox treatment.
The doctor also noted the fine lines on Kate’s forehead that disappeared in the alleged post-treatment picture. This news was first reported by the Atlantic, and it quickly spread until Dr. Somji deleted his Instagram.
The palace responded to the cosmetic surgery allegations
Page Six reported that the Kensington Palace shot down the rumor that says Kate Middleton had Botox injections to get rid of her fine lines and facial wrinkles. In a statement, the spokesperson of the royals denied the report by saying that it is “categorically not true” and added that the royal family never endorse or get involved in any commercial activity.
While many believed Dr. Somji’s post about the Botox, there were also some who criticized him because he even posted the Duchess of Cambridge’s photos and calling it a mean move. The surgeon has nearly 49,000 followers on Instagram, and most are convinced that Prince William’s wife looks younger because of treatments.
Plus, the fact that the Dr Medi Spa, where the doctor is practicing, is just a 10-minute drive from where Kate Middleton lives makes it sound even more convincing for his social media followers. And when asked to comment if the Duchess is really one of their clients, the clinic stated that they could not answer because they have a nondisclosure agreement with their patrons.
“We have nondisclosure agreements where we can’t disclose our high-end clients,” Sammy Curry, the clinic’s marketing manager, told The Post via Page Six. “We absolutely can’t comment at all that she has come to us.”
