Soon-to-be parents Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom did not splurge on their time-honored tradition “babymoon” but instead made it a very meaningful one.
The couple drove two hours from Los Angeles to Katy's hometown in Santa Barbara and spend a day on a public beach with family and close friends, an insider told Heat for its June 6, 2020 issue.
Heat reported that the singer and actor are expecting a baby girl presumably in August.
The insider added that the expectant couple have been wanting a break and they have been forced to cancel their wedding which would have been in Japan this month due to the coronavirus (CoVid) pandemic.
Katy and Orlando, according to the source, are also worried over what has been happening around the world because of the CoVid crisis.
Heat also reported that the trip to Santa Barbara was also Katy's first since she got pregnant and understandably she wanted to spend it with her family.
Once they got there, they did not waste time and immediately hit the beach with their inner circle that included Katy's dad, pastor Keith Hudson. Also in tow was Nugget, Katy's beloved dog.
The Heat source said that Katy and Orlando thoroughly enjoyed their day on the beach. They not only soaked on the sun but they also splashed in the waters with Orlando doting on Katy.
The two will be having their first child together. It will be Katy's first while it will be the second child for Orlando who shares a nine-year-old son, Flynn, with ex Miranda Kerr.
Katy had revealed that she's learning fast to be a mum as she had also spent time with relatives and their children and Flynn.
According to Katy, she's used to kids gravitating toward her because of her music but what she's not used to is waking up early with them looking at her by her bedside.
