“Kingdom Hearts 3” is nearing its release date and fans of the franchise can’t wait to have Sora, Donald, and Goofy explore the expansive world of the Disney universe. And thanks to the recently released trailer by Xbox, this excitement has taken on a whole new different tier.
The clip was released during the X018 gathering held in Mexico City. Fans who managed to attend the event were among those who experience “Kingdom Hearts 3” first hand.
One of the things that got gamers hyped up and nostalgic at the same time is the addition of the 100-Acre Woods and the inhabitants of its world. Pooh Bear, Tigger, and the rest of the gang will be among those that Sora will help in “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
But it isn’t just Pooh that is included in the recently released teaser video of “Kingdom Hearts 3” as there are a host of other things to take in as well. Clips of Rapunzel, Jack Sparrow, and Baymax are scattered across the trailer and were seen battling the antagonists of their respective franchises. However, the biggest factor that made a lot of fans do a double take is the reveal of Lingering Will.
Longtime followers of the franchise can recall that Lingering Will is the lost mind of Terra, a Keyblade wielder who lost his body to Master Xehanort. While this addition is certainly a welcome feature in “Kingdom Hearts 3,” it’s also a bittersweet pill for fans as it solidified the eventual end of the franchise, Polygon reported.
This conclusion is another reason that “Kingdom Hearts 3” is expected to bring in a lot of revenue for Square Enix given that the game will be the last time players can journey with Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Right now, the game’s graphics are absolutely crisp and its combat system seems equally impressive. With Sora’s Keyblade capable of transforming to other weapons, players will have a lot of room to creatively get rid of the Heartless as they explore the various worlds of iconic Disney locations.
