Kumho Tire, South Korea's leading tire manufacturer, inked a five-season sponsorship deal with AC Milan, a distinguished Italian Serie A football club, aiming to magnify their global brand recognition.
AC Milan is a renowned Italian Serie A club, and on Thursday, July 6, Kumho Ture announced their long-term agreement for a sponsorship deal. The two parties said that the latter would become the club's Premium Partner and Official Tire Partner.
The sponsorship will be in effect for a total of five seasons through the 2027-28 Serie A season. The Korea Herald reported that Kumho Tire and AC Milan held a contract signing event at the club's Casa Milan headquarters, and key officials, including the tire manufacturer's chief executive officer, Jung Il Taik and AC Milan's chief, Giorgio Furlani, were in attendance.
As part of the deal, the brand logo of Kumho Tire will be featured in five languages in all of the team's home games. The emblem will also be put on display in other AC Milan-owned facilities and online pages.
The partners will also be conducting various promotional events together. These ads aim to create a line of communication with fans of AC Milan worldwide.
"We are delighted to welcome Kumho Tire to our family of Premium Partners and to start together a brand-new journey," the club's CEO said in a press release. "Thanks to our common set of values and our common vision, our partnership will inspire us both to further push boundaries and keep innovating."
Kumho Tire's own chief further said, "We are very pleased to form a premium partnership with AC Milan, a world-renowned football club that boasts a huge international fan base. We will use this partnership to enhance our brand recognition globally and initiate a range of activities to position ourselves as a premium brand."
