LS Cable & System Ltd has built its second coaxial jumper plant in India to meet the growing demand in India and other countries.
With the new plant, LS Cable & System India was able to double the annual production capacity of coaxial jumpers.
LS Cable & System India., a wholly-owned subsidiary of LS Cable & System, supplies 20 percent of the coaxial jumper requirements of Indian telecom companies.
Among its clients are such as Reliance Jio, Airtel through Samsung Electronics Co., and Ericsson, accounting for about 20 percent in the Indian market.
LS Cable & System Ltd. also has purchased a 30,000-square-meter land in Poland for a possible expansion of its operations.
No decision has been made on building production facilities on the new site.
It is next to LS Cable's second plant in the southwestern Polish town of Dzierzoniow that will produce parts for electric vehicle batteries.
Last year, LS Cable built its first plant and began producing parts for electric vehicle batteries, which it supplies to South Korean chemical giant LG Chem's battery cell production facility in Poland.
