CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Friday (23rd June) and cover positions up to Tuesday (20th June). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions; however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions decreased for the second time in five weeks, and this time sharply. The net long position decreased by 39,599 contracts to +150.7K contracts.
- Copper – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions decreased for the second time in six weeks. The net longs decreased by 6,019 contracts to +12.8K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions decreased for the second consecutive week and by 13,977 contracts to +46.7K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and decreasing
Speculators decreased long positions for the second consecutive week and by 30,235 contracts, which brought the net positions to +328.8K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and increasing
Short positions, last week increased for a third consecutive week and by 12,403 contracts that pushed the net position to -16.7K contracts.
