The premiere of “Law & Order: SVU” Season 20 is almost here and the title for the episode has already been revealed. What’s more, the series is getting a new recurring character that will be played by Mark Tallman of “Rise” fame. He will apparently be a force for disruption on the show as he makes his ambitious climb to power.
With the hit NBC show set to return in September, “Law & Order: SVU” Season 20 promises much of the same exciting content that it has been delivering for the past two decades. For the upcoming season, it will be kicking things off with the premiere episode titled “Man Up.” This will then be followed by the second episode titled “Man Down” and the third episode titled “Zero Tolerance.”
These revelations are courtesy of the Twitter account of “Law & Order: SVU” Season 20 executive producer, Julie Martin. It’s important not to read too much into what these titles could mean for the season’s stories. However, “Zero Tolerance” could have something to do with sexual assault when looking at the show’s pattern, CarterMatt points out.

In related “Law & Order: SVU” Season 20 news, this season will see a new recurring character in Gavin Riley (Mark Tallman). Deadline describes him as an ambitious chief of detectives who isn’t above ruffling feathers on his way to the top. He could even become governor someday.
