Lenovo Group Limited, a technology company specializing in designing, manufacturing, and selling consumer electronics, is one of the participants at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC), which is currently being held at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via Convention Center in Spain.
On the first day of the event, which runs from Feb. 26 to Feb. 29, the company launched new hardware and software solutions that put its AI-driven innovations on display. The latest creations also showed Lenovo’s strong commitment to a more sustainable future.
Extraordinary Computers
Lenovo unveiled some brand-new ThinkPad and ThinkBook laptops for personal and business use. One of the models that caught the attention of many is the model with the transparent screen.
The laptop’s screen is see-through, but Mashable opined that this model may not be for mass production since this is a complicated concept. The full specification of the model is not on display at the exhibition, and it is not available at this time either.
However, there are apparent specifications, such as the 17.3-inch microLED display, which is said to have a peak of brightness of up to 1,000 nits. From behind, it has 55% light transmittance, meaning a user can see almost half the light coming from the front side.
Moreover, the new Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop uses Windows 11. Unlike traditional laptops with fixed webcams, the transparent device has a camera installed at the base, facing away from the screen.
Groundbreaking Futuristic Concepts
Lenovo’s newest concept is revolutionizing the way a laptop looks and functions. The new Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop demonstrates a sense of high-tech simplicity while upgrading the user experience.
“At Lenovo, we believe that the future of technology lies in AI-driven innovation and sustainable practices. With our latest hardware and software solutions, including a futuristic transparent display laptop concept unveiled at MWC, we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” said Eric Yu, senior vice president of Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group’s SMB and Commercial Product Center, stated in a press release.
He added, “Our new ThinkPad and ThinkBook business laptops are not just powerful and versatile but also showcase AI features that enhance productivity, creativity, and efficiency. We are proud to be at the forefront of AI-driven innovation and are committed to empowering our customers with cutting-edge solutions.”
