Lili Reinhart Instagrammed her support for the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and, in the process, revealed that she is a proud bisexual.
The Riverdale star posted on her Instagram Story that she will be joining an LGBTQ+ activity in support of the Black Lives Matter protest, which is sparked by the death of black American George Floyd.
In her post, she wrote below a photo of the activity, that although she has not announced it to the public, she is a proud bisexual. She then told her followers that she'd be joining the protest and invited them to join as well.
Just last month, it was reported that Reinhart and her boyfriend, Cole Sprouse, have called it quits. The two were co-stars on the Riverdale, a CW teen drama series.
Reinhart's fans praised her for coming out, but some of her followers also accused her of making the activity about her pointing that she came out with her gender preference at the wrong time.
Her coming out, however, was not the first time that Reinhart had shown support for Floyd's death.
Floyd had died in Minneapolis last May 25, 2020, due to police brutality. Floyd was being arrested for allegedly buying cigarettes at a corner store with a counterfeit bill.
During the arrest, a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, had pressed his knee to the back of Floyd's neck for about eight minutes as he was lying on the ground on his stomach.
He shouted that he could not breathe, but Chauvin did not listen to him. Floyd later fell unconscious, was brought to the hospital where he later died.
All officers, including Chauvin, have been sacked and are now facing charges.
Speaking out about the matter, Reinhard said she does not have all the right words but that she stands by them. She then hashtagged her tweet with Black Lives Matter.
