Lori Loughlin is involved in the biggest college admissions scandal in the U.S. She was accused of bribing officials so that her daughters could enroll in the University of Southern California even if they are not qualified to be admitted.
It was said that the actress and her husband Mossimo Giannulli could be jailed for as long as 40 years if they are proven guilty of the charges. The husband and wife are facing criminal charges for allegedly paying $500,000 to make sure that their daughter will be admitted to the USC.
With the possibility of prison time, Entertainment Tonight reported that Loughlin is breaking down. It was said that being handed down the imprisonment sentence is very, very high because of the seriousness of the case and the amount of money involved.
Lori Loughlin’s daughters are also said to be feeling guilty about what is happening to their parents especially to their mom because they know that she was only trying to help them. She wants the best for them and they know that she is a really good person.
Now, with the talks of possible long-term jail time, if convicted, National Enquirer reported that the actress is pretending to be severely ill so she could escape being sentenced. An insider allegedly said, “She’s talking about constant headaches and stomach cramps, which she’s saying are the result of internal bleeding and organ failure.”
The source added, “She hasn’t had these claims substantiated by a doctor, so insiders are whispering she’s likely dreaming them up, imagining something that’s not there.”
People around are said to be whispering that Lori Loughlin is just acting to get sympathy and ultimately avoid being jailed. In any case, the trial for Loughlin and Giannulli has not started yet but because they are very worried, the actress decided to fake an illness in the hopes to be given a lighter sentence.
Now, Gossip Cop refuted this report by the National Enquirer after checking out the facts. It can confirm that this was a total nonsense story after it was able to talk with some of the “Full House” actress’ close friends who denied the narrative. Moreover, GC pointed out that Lori Loughlin pleaded not guilty to all charges hurled against her thus the jail time is not certain for her to pretend to be sick.
