MORRISTOWN, N.J. and ABU DHABI, UAE, May 16, 2016 -- Louis Berger has appointed Loucas Symeon to lead the international construction services center. Symeon will oversee the center's strategy and its operational and delivery policies. In addition, he will provide operational construction support and supervise construction projects.
"We're excited to welcome Loucas to this leadership role," said Thomas Topolski, president of Louis Berger's international operation. "With Loucas at the head of the construction services center, we will continue to put forward solutions that reinforce our overall positioning in the market and ensure we deliver projects to the full satisfaction of our valued clients."
Under Symeon, the construction services center will set the benchmark for efficient and effective engineering and construction procedures. The center will encourage a culture of constant improvement, high performance and operational excellence by increasing integration and collaboration across Louis Berger's business lines and geographies.
"At its core, the construction services center is about achieving greater client focus," said Symeon. "Clients expect us to complete their construction projects on time and on budget, with integrity. Since project and operational efficiencies are drivers of timelines and budgets, clients and their projects will be the construction services center's biggest beneficiaries."
Symeon has more than 30 years of construction experience and an impressive record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. He earned a degree in civil engineering from Nottingham University in the U.K.
A Cyprus national based in Louis Berger's Dubai office, Symeon will report directly to Peter Skinner, chief operating officer for Louis Berger's international operation.
