Things are actually going well for the characters of the hit CBS TV series ‘Madam Secretary’.
The recent episode circled mostly around the hunt for the mysterious leader of Hizb al-Shahid, Jibral Disah. We have all the time in the world to talk about that because it looks like the rest of the season may be dedicated to the topic.
That is why to lighten things up, let us talk about Henry and his first day of work at the State Department on the top secret intelligence team. With Henry now working at the same place as his wife, things are going to be better for them now that they won’t have to keep secrets and they can keep an eye for each other.
He is part of a team with a not-so-great nickname Murphy Station, which is comprised of Jane Fellows, Mimi Jacobs, and Jose Campos. They had to make some tough decisions this week, including a decision that led to a death of a team member, but in return they are one step closer to finding Disah.
And by death of a team member, we mean Shamekh. Henry is really affected with what happened to her, where she got blown up at the Libyan military base. It hit Henry hard since he was the one who was convinced that Shamekh will lead them to Disah once Mimi gets him to talk.
Meanwhile, we also got to see Stevie’s new boyfriend Jareth. And I am pretty sure every one of you here would agree that he is a total keeper and Stevie is lucky to have him. He’s British and adorable and is the total opposite of his last boyfriend which was President Dalton’s drug-addicted son.
Not only was Jareth considerate judging from the fact that he did not make fun of Stevie’s burnt risotto, he was also sweet and understanding. Unfortunately, Bess, Henry, and Alison all miss the occasion because of work.
After the awkward and intense dinner, Stevie assumes Jareth will never speak to her again. But he’s not a jerk, so he shows up with scones for the whole family in the morning. He makes a David Bowie-Labyrinth joke and is almost instantaneously McCord-approved.
Curious on what will happen next? Stay tuned for more updates.
