“Madam Secretary” Season 5 Episode 2 is going to cause a lot of tension both on the show and for the audience alike. In the aftermath of the explosion that killed June (Linda Lavin) and injuring several others, Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) will have to uncover the identity of the attackers.
At first, it was believed that foreign terrorists were behind the cowardly act but it turns out that the suspects were actually American white nationalists. The reason behind the attack was that the domestic terrorists were upset about a possible trade deal with India, TV Line reported. It goes without saying that this is a delicate matter that Elizabeth has to handle in “Madam Secretary” Season 5 Episode 2.
On the one hand, she’s dealing with a domestic threat. On the other, the threats are American themselves. While the most logical route is to condemn and incarcerate the suspects, the problem is far more complicated than that. Other nationalists who are against the trade deal might be spurred into action as well if the situation isn't addressed with the utmost care. How Elizabeth will handle this new mess on her lap will be explored on “Madam Secretary” Season 5 Episode 2.
But glimpses of it has already been shown as Elizabeth sought the advice of three former secretaries of state: Gen. Colin Powell, Madeleine Albright, and Hillary Clinton. All three individuals played themselves and their inclusion made the discussion scenes all the more pressing. “Madam Secretary” Season 5 Episode 2 will have Elizabeth follow the guidance imparted by the three former secretaries, which centered around the country’s strength in diversity.
But putting words into action is easier said than done. Indeed, “Madam Secretary” Season 5 Episode 2 is billed as “Chaos Game” and it’s expected to live up to its title. What’s more, Henry (Tim Daly) will come face to face with the attackers and it’s unclear how the character will handle the encounter. “Madam Secretary” Season 5 Episode 2 is set for release on Oct. 14.
