McDonald’s is setting up its spinoff restaurant called CosMc’s. However, very little is known about it. With scarce information, many are describing the new chain as “mysterious.”
But in the latest update, it was revealed that the menu items on McDonald’s upcoming CosMc’s stores have been unveiled albeit accidentally. This is because the fast-food chain has not yet officially announced the food items, but passersby spotted them, and photos were posted online.
Alleged Menu Selection for CosMc’s
As McDonald’s is set to open its first CosMc’s outlet, the construction of the building is ongoing and already in the finishing phase. USA TODAY reported that it was able to obtain a copy of photos showing the menu board of McDonald’s spinoff store.
The images were said to have been taken by Iman Jalali, a real estate investor in the Chicago area. The photos allegedly showed the menu board of CosMc’s, which is being installed in the restaurant.
As can be seen on the panels, the drive-thru menu includes coffees, teas, lemonades, frappes, and even slushies. The signature fruit drinks are said to have been named “Galactic Boosts,” and they may have chosen this name since the store's mascot is an alien.
Some of the specific beverage flavors are Churro Frappe, Sour Cherry Energy Burst, Spiced Latte, and Turmeric Spice. As for the food, the images showed all-day breakfasts such as Bacon McMuffin with Egg, Egg McMuffin, and Sausage McMuffin. New unique items include Avocado Tomatillo Sandwich, Spicy Quezo Sandwich, Savory Hash Brown Bites, and Pretzel Bites.
Jalali shared that the pictures were in Bolingbrook, and this is the very first CosMc’s restaurant. He said that the drive-thru has four lanes with digital menu devices.
New Starbucks Rival
Men’s Journal reported that McDonald’s CosMc’s is positioning itself as Starbucks’ new rival. This could be true based on the lineup of drinks and food items that were spotted in the soon-to-be-opened restaurant.
Meanwhile, CosMc’s is a mysterious McDonald’s spinoff that was named after an old mascot that was introduced in 1987. It is an alien who moved to Earth, and diners love the character, but eventually disappeared and was only brought back this year.
