McDonald's Spain is experimenting on the menu and just announced the release of a new food item. It appears that the fast-food chain is doing another crossover because the new addition is a Tex-Mex favorite that is usually available in Taco Bell.
McDonald's Spain just added nachos as one of the options to its sides lineup. What's more, this food item will also be served with the restaurant's own irresistible cheese sauce.
These nachos with the Tex-Mex flavor will never go wrong, and customers can order them together with their favorite burger and other food in the restaurant. While nachos are already available in Spain, The Street reported that it may not be coming to the McDonald's stores in the United States.
It was said that Americans really love the taste of Tex-Mex food, and they particularly like the fajitas and nachos. In fact, most of the Mexican restaurants in their area always have a lot of customers, and they are doing really well. Nachos are also served in bars and with its availability almost everywhere, McDonald's US may not consider adding it to the menu.
McDonald's Spain clearly created its own take on one of Taco Bell's favorites. Customers can now decide if the fast-food is able to produce a better version of nachos or the burger joint's direct competition's version is still the best.
In any case, it was revealed that McDonald's actually launched a Mexican food item before so this is not the first time the brand offered this fare to its customers. The fast-food chain sold fajitas nearly three decades earlier.
"McDonald's sold its own version of the popular dish in 1993 and the fajitas included chicken, cheese, red and green bell peppers, and diced onions in a flour tortilla," the restaurant stated. "McDonald's commercial claimed one bite of their chicken fajitas was like 'a taste of Mexico but without the sunburn.'"
Meanwhile, as per Brand Eating, aside from the nachos with cheese, McDonald's Spain is also offering a unique selection of other sides. Some of the popular items in the list include the McShaker Fries, McShaker Fries Deluxe which is the potato wedge version, Fries Deluxe with Camembert & Bacon, Deluxe Potato Wedges, Cherry tomatoes, Gouda Cheese Bites, Gouda Cheese Bites, and a bucket of onion rings.
