Volkswagen Korea has temporarily stopped all new car sales due to warning triangles failing to meet standards.
According to the South Korean unit of German carmaking giant Volkswagen AG, although it is not legally obligated to include warning triangles as part of the vehicle, drivers should keep one inside the vehicle under the Road Traffic Law.
Among the models that Volkswagen Korea has asked dealers to withhold release are the Tiguan compact SUV, Touareg SUV, Golf compact car, and Arteon sedan.
The car models scheduled for delivery to local consumers still remain at showrooms.
The temporary delay of new car releases was requested by the German headquarters.
